We believe fragrance lies at the heart and soul of who we are. Our sensory selves.

Our Story…

Sensory Philosophy came into being in 2019, a crazy idea initially conceived in the South of France when we came to realise that many of our clients at Sentiers Perdus loved the home fragrance products we were creating for them to enjoy whilst staying with us.

Involving our family back in the UK was the natural progression for what was then a fledgling company. After all, family is the most important thing in life. Closely followed by fragrance.

As a boutique fragrance house we take care using only natural botanical ingredients and are passionate about developing good relationships with our suppliers and with you, our customers, whom we know hold the key to our ongoing success. Thank you.

We began our journey with two artisan workshops, based in the East of England and South of France, the centre of our sensory world. We now run Sensory Philosophy in our Cambridgeshire workshop while we plan, play, debate, distil and refine the products across all our ranges in readiness to share with you.

Sharing what we know, what we believe, what we feel and then capturing all of this into our products underpins who we are and the brand we have created here at Sensory Philosophy.

We have some great ideas in terms of where we go next and hope that you want to join us in the ride. You can follow us via our social media. Alternatively email us, we would love to hear from you. Tell us what you want from us and we’ll work hard to make it happen.

We believe that the very essence of a fragrance comes from the care with which it is prepared and the love with which it is received.

We use pure and natural ingredients wherever possible.

Our products are free from preservatives, parabens, and harmful phthalates.

Our world matters to us.

We produce and deliver the items you purchase from us in the most sustainable way possible.

To keep waste low we make to order.

We work hard to make sure that our packaging materials are reusable, recyclable and compostable.

We blend and pour by hand.

We are who we are through our connections and relationships with you.

Coming in 2023

We are both very excited about what Sensory Philosophy will bring to 2023. With Michèle having moved back to England in the Spring of 2021, we combined our studios to better create new ideas for products and services.

With Covid restrictions eased, we are expanding our local retail presence, and taking part in more local/regional craft fairs and farmers markets.

You can find us at the St Neots Farmers Market regularly (please check our socials for latest/upcoming dates!).

You can find a selection of our products to purchase in the Shopkeeper’s Daughter, St Neots Museum, Bohemia Roasts and Kat Tilley Bespoke Skincare, all in St Neots.
